Win Streak Ends As Rangers Fall To Orioles
The Trysting Place Rangers fell to 17-1 Sunday at Wisconsin Ave Park, losing to Kelly's Bleachers Orioles by the final of 7-6. The Rangers grabbed a quick 1-0 lead in the 1st as leadoff man CF Pete Jaske circled the bases on a double and a throwing error. The Rangers scored a second run on a Dan Trivett groundout. The Orioles would tie the game with 2 runs in the 3rd. 2B Terry Teske gave the Rangers the lead in the 4th with a solo HR. The game went back and forth for 8 innings, with the Orioles holding on for the win. Hitting highlights for the Rangers include Terry Teske 2-2 with 3 runs scored and 1 RBI. Pete Jaske was 2-3 with 1 run scored. LF Jack Barron was 1-1 on a perfect bunt single, and P Dan Trivett collected 2 RBI.
