Trysting Place Rangers Claim Sunday Division Title

Sunday at Burnham Field, the Trysting Place Rangers took the first step toward what they hope will be a return to the Milwaukee MSBL championship game. The Rangers, now 13-0, clinched the Sunday Division title with an 11-1 victory over the Yankees. The offense got off to a slow start, with RF Eric Rohde's RBI single scoring the only run of the game through the first 4 innings. Eric would also make a great catch in the RF corner, robbing the Yankees of 2 runs. The Ranger defense turned 3 inning ending double plays, including a pitcher to catcher to first Yankee rally killer. A Yankee runner was also cut down at third base on a fine relay throw from LF Jack Barron to SS Scott Radtke to 3B Al Alt. Hitting highlights include leadoff hitter Pete Jaske who had 2 hits, one of them a 2 RBI triple, and Al Alt who socked a 2 run HR. In his first AB since suffering a knee injury in the Viper game, Ranger Capt. Terry Teske poked a pinch hit single.
