Ranger Offense Erupts With Big Inning On Way To
Rout
The Trysting Place Rangers offense got off to a slow
start Sunday night by going 1-2-3 in the top of the first. The pace quickened
considerable in the 2nd, as the first 11 Ranger batters safely reached
base. By the time the dust had settled, the Yankees slim lead had turned
into a Ranger blowout.
Among the many hitting highlights included 3B Al Alt, SS Scott Radtke,
and RF Pete Whalen each with 4 hits. Alt ripped 2 triples in the game,
and Whalen put an exclamation on the game with an inside the park HR to
conclude the Ranger scoring.
