Trysting Place Rangers   Milwaukee Pirates
Hot Weather = Hot Ranger Bats
On a warm (OK Hot!) Sunday afternoon the Trysting Place Rangers offense finally broke loose, looking like the well oiled hitting machine of old in a runaway victory over the Pirates. Scoring runs in every inning and batting around the order in both the 3rd & 5th innings, the Rangers showed no mercy to the Pirates, who were playing their second game of the day. Mike Rapp, playing his first Ranger game of the year, was a perfect 4-4. 1B Jeff Kovnesky chipped in 4 hits as well, including 3 doubles & a triple. The versatile Scott Radtke took a tour of the field, starting at 2B, moving to left field, switching to third base, before ending the game as the first baseman. Radtke also scored 4 runs. Catcher Tom Cavey enjoyed a 3-3 day with a season high 6 RBI. "Ageless" Al Alt knocked in 4 RBI. The Pirates hit the pay window in a 5 run fifth, as Captain Ron Krawczyk cranked the big hit, a bases loaded 3 RBI double.
