RANGERS RALLY, STOP SOX 7-4
Ageless Al Alt Clubs Go Ahead HR In 8th
With the score tied 4-4 in the 8th, Al Alt gave the Rangers
the lead for good with a solo HR, his second round tripper in two weeks.
An RBI single by Gary Witthuhn, and a run scoring groudout by C Tom Cavey
provided insurance as the Rangers held on for a 7-4 win. The Ranger scoring
started with a 2 run second inning HR by John Arnold, in his first AB of
the season. With the score knotted at 2, SS Terry Teske ripped a 2 run
single in the fifth, but the Sox battled back on a 6th inning solo HR by
Chris French, and when the Sox plated a run in the 7th, the teams were
tied once more setting the stage for Al Alt's blast.
