RANGERS FALL TO MUSKIES 20-13
The Trysting Place Rangers and Muskies slugged their way through
a Mother's Day game at Burnham Park Sunday, and when the dust settled the
Rangers had suffered their first defeat of the season. The Muskies jumped
out to an 8-0 third inning lead, highlighted by a 2 run HR by D. Bailey,
but the Rangers battled back. Al Alt answered with a 3 run HR in the 5
run Ranger third, and when 1B Jeff Kovnesky blasted a 3 run HR in the 4th,
the score was tied 11-11. The Muskies took the lead for good in the fifth,
and held on to improve to 3-0 on the season. The loss dropped the Rangers
to 2-1.
At the plate:
The teams combined for an amazing 39 total hits.
In the field: C Dave Globig
caught 2 Muskies attempting to steal.
Best Wishes: Ranger LF Dave
Bytnar will be relocating to Texas. Although we lose a fine hitter from
the middle of our batting order, we all wish Dave well in his new career!
