TRYSTING PLACE RANGERS BUMP BRAVES 9- 5
The
Rangers and Braves squared off on a pleasant Sunday afternoon, with the
Rangers prevailing by the score of 9-5. Eric Rohde belted the first Ranger
HR of the season, a 3-run 4th inning blast off former teammate Bob Hamel
to give the Rangers a 6 run lead. But the Braves bounced back in the fifth
with a 3-run homer by LF J.Venagas, and cut the lead to 7-5 with
a 2-run sixth. In the Ranger 7th, SS Terry Teske ripped a single to center,
scoring the final 2 runs, as the Rangers held on for the victory.
On
the mound: John Arnold pitched 4 scoreless
innings, striking out 8 Braves.
At
the plate: Every Ranger batter collected at
least one hit.
