Division leaders win 8th straight, improve to 10-1

Most of the Trysting Place Ranger players showed up early Sunday for some extra batting practice. Somebody forgot to tell them practice ended and the game had begun, as the Rangers pounded the Rattlers pitchers for 27 hits and a team record 30 runs. Leading the hit parade was CF Pete Jaske with 5 hits and 5 runs scored. John Arnold,  who belted a first inning 2 run homer, collected 6 RBI. LF John Bergner and SS Terry Teske each picked up 4 hits, with Teske adding 5 RBI. The Rangers set team records for most runs scored in a game (30), largest margin of victory (30), most runs in an inning (14), and fewest hits allowed in a shutout (3).
